The first half of 2015….the Point!
News: As usual we renew our meeting to photograph the progress of the first half of this year and to indicate the objectives that we will be engaged in the second half.
We can confirm that the operators of second level in non-destructive testing with ultrasound have completed their training and passed their exams. So it was achieved the aim of having a dozen of qualified operators in the most common types of not-destructive testing as liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasound in the staffing plan of Punto Netto.
Moreover, this first half of 2015 saw a sharp increase in demand for video-endoscopic testing that Punto Netto could meet with the sophisticated equipment supplied through the investment plan which we have previously discussed.
The efforts both in the increased skills of human resources and in technological equipment today make Punto Netto providers well recognized and reliable in the field of non-destructive testing.
The increase in orders in the field of non-destructive testing with the increase of the activities on the sites in Lombardy, Piedmont and Campania have pushed the overall increase in total hours worked at most of the last years, despite the first two months were not in line with our expectations.
The fiscal data for the first half 2015 show an increase in costs and expenses due to the acquisition of equipment and in particular way in the field of metrology and non-destructive testing. Revenues are in line with the volume worked well absorbing the first two months that are not in line with expectations and net of certain bills to be issued at starting activities. Overall only activities in Puglia area appear to be in decline, but this is explained by the natural improvement of supply of productive projects already consolidated for several years.
The commitment for the second half of this year will be directed to a fully functioning of the instrumentation and equipment that have become part of the technological equipment of Punto Netto. This goes from showing to all customers the range of new services that Punto Netto is now able to deliver thanks to the significant made instrumental and professional investments. Some customers have already shown strong interest and we expect to conclude by the end of this year some important agreements on non-destructive testing on 100% of some productions.
We also expect a positive development agreement with FCA Pratola Serra, which we have already discussed in a previous article, with the launch of the new engine by the end of this year.
For this activity, in the first three months of the year, we have ensured the motorsport plant in Irpinia over 5 million quality checking in size, by attributes and visual: an unprecedented achievement of which we are particularly proud of it.
Great attention and effort will be aimed at the production startups of 3 plants: the FCA plant in Cassino from which everyone expects the return of the classic Alfa Romeo called "Julia", then the FCA plant in Termoli that will produce the new engine from 170 hp for 1900 of displacement that will go right on one of the Giulia models and the FCA plant in Mirafiori with the novelty of a large SUV marked by Maserati.
